ANGELINA PARIS, SALON DE THÉ DEPUIS 1903

Nov 15, 2016

A couple of weeks ago, we decided to go to Paris, just for one day! A perfect get away from our city Amsterdam. We got on a flight from 09:20, which lets us arrive in Paris at 10:45 and booked a flight back at 20:50. Just enough hours to get some inspiration and drink a couple of tea of course.

So immediately after the airplane has landed, we went straight to our first destination in Paris. Salon de thé Angelina Paris at, 226 Rue de Rivoli, 75001 Paris, France

Angelina Paris never seizes to amaze us, even when it was our second time there for lunch. While we were waiting for our order, we gazed around and were amazed by the whole atmosphere like it was our first time visiting this salon de thé all over again.

Finally, the food and drinks arrived. Starting with the club sandwich that came with the amaaaaaazing French fries and the truffle ravioli. Oh my.. the truffle ravioli is something that we really recommend if you ever happened to visit this place.

Next to that we ordered some pastries and teas of course! As you can see in the pictures, the pastries are a real piece of art. We ordered the Sisi pastry and their signature: the Mont-Blanc, made of Meringue, whipped cream and chestnut cream vermicelli.

We also expected a lot from the tea. Because last time we ordered their house blend, which impressed us a lot. This time we ordered the N°226 chocolate flavoured tea and the jasmine green tea. Both teas were a perfect match with the pastries that we ordered!  The N°226 chocolate is an almond and cacao flavoured tea that has the perfect level of flavour intensity for a pastry like the Mont-Blanc. Because both have a unique and strong taste of its own. The Jasmine green tea has natural sweet and flowery taste, which fits very well with the sour berry flavoured Sissy pastry. The flavour of the tea and berry do not overrule but compliments each other very well.

As we sit there enjoying our food and drinks, time flies by very fast… We actually did not even want to leave this place. Just wanted to stay there the whole day with a cup of tea. But we had a couple of other places on our list that we wanted to visit. Can you guess what the next stop is?

Paris makes us happy :-)

    1. Hi there Carlos! Thank you so much for visiting our blog and post. You should really do that if you have the time. Angelina Paris is a must go, but there are also a lot of other tea boutiques in the neighbourhood!
